-Occurrence Period:
March 27, 2025, 08:30 PM – March 29, 2025, 02:00 PM(JST)

[Impact]
-System-wide delays (including delays in file distribution notifications)
-Errors in search information registration processing
-API response errors

[Cause]
As part of our ongoing system improvements, we implemented measures to reduce database latency.
During this process, certain search operations failed to apply indexes (index data) properly, resulting in prolonged search processing times.
This has led to excessive load being placed on the database, resulting in system-wide delays and errors.

[Resolution]
A thorough review of the index settings was conducted, resulting in the reapplication of these settings, thereby restoring system functionality.

[Preventive Measures]
Although we had an established recovery procedure, executing it on the database took longer than expected.
Moving forward, we will implement measures to ensure faster recovery, including:
Strengthening the selection and clarification of affected areas before index adjustments
Splitting large-scale index adjustments into multiple smaller updates to minimize impact
Exploring automation of the recovery process to accelerate future responses.
