[Resolved / Update] Cause and Countermeasures for Fleekdrive Virus Scan Delay (July 15, 2026)
Dear Customers,
Thank you very much for your continued support of our services.
We sincerely apologize once again for the considerable inconvenience
and disruption caused by the delay in Fleekdrive’s virus scanning process that occurred on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
We can confirm that the processing delay has been resolved and the system is currently operating normally.
Below is our report regarding the cause of this issue and the measures being taken to prevent recurrence.
■ Details of the Incident and Measures to Prevent Recurrence
1. Date and Time of Occurrence
Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from approximately 18:00 to 22:00 (JST)
2. Issue Description
Temporary delay in the virus scanning process (resulting in processing wait times).
【Main Impact】
・Virus scans did not complete upon file upload, rendering the affected files temporarily unoperable.
・Smart Rules did not function properly.
3. Cause of the Issue
Fleekdrive is provided as a multi-tenant SaaS service,
where files uploaded by all subscribers are scanned using a shared virus scanning server.
Because the time required for virus scanning depends on file sizes and data structures,
we have historically prioritized requests based on file size and other factors to minimize wait times.
However, during the above time period, requests concentrated beyond our expectations,
and the existing prioritization logic was unable to clear the queue, resulting in a temporary delay.
4. Measures to Prevent Recurrence
In conjunction with the “Fleekdrive V16.5.0 Major Version Upgrade” scheduled for Saturday,
July 25, 2026, 20:00 to Sunday, July 26, 2026, 06:00 (JST), we will implement the following improvements:
・Optimization of Processing Priority
We will refine the prioritization logic for virus scanning to create a mechanism that resists
processing delays, even during heavy traffic spikes.
・Continuous Performance Tuning
This adjustment represents an optimization based on our current server usage.
We will continue to adjust priorities as needed in response to load fluctuations to optimize processing speeds.
Please note that the completion of these measures will be officially reported through the upcoming
“Completion Notice for the V16.5.0 Major Version Upgrade.”
We deeply apologize once again for any inconvenience this matter may have caused.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Support Desk.
